How two firm sisters became fermentistas
We are Marta and Joanna: sisters, dietitians.... and avid fermentistas. Our passion for fermented vegetables is born from the belief that healthy eating, including the daily consumption of fermented products, is the basis for a long and happy life.
Marta & Joanna
Several years ago, after being diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, we began a long search through various treatments. In the end, we found the key to health back in our childhood.
In our small apartment in Marianowo, Poland, we used to ferment large quantities of cabbage together with our family into fresh, crisp sauerkraut. We ate this natural probiotic all year round and it gave our health a powerful boost. Inspired by this healing family tradition, we started fermenting raw vegetables again.
And because we believe so strongly in the power of fermented food, we share our knowledge not only through our products, but also by hosting workshops where we teach others the art of fermentation.
